Maria has taken such a pride and joy in creating our LuMara family. She has been in the industry since 1995. At the young age of 16, she was driven to pursue a career in the beauty industry. LuMara opened its doors in 2005 and ever since it has been a local success. As the owner, Maria made this salon her second home, developing a comfortable, inviting, and luxurious ambiance. She keeps all LuMara’s colorists and stylists current with the latest trends and techniques. Recently she has become a Goldwell Master Colorist and continues to grow her knowledge every year. Her passion for hair and beauty has brough so much success to the industry. The energy and enthusiasm she brings is what her clients truly admire with every salon visit.

Marianne has been in the industry since 1989, Marianne has built strong relationships with her clients. She has a passion for her craft as she appreciates learning from others and sharing her knowledge. From women’s cuts to men’s cuts, all phases of coloring and styling for special occasions, Marianne takes her time with each guest to assure them they are in good hands.

Erika is the head colorist at LuMara. Starting as an assistant beside owner, Maria at just 16 years old, Erika has been in the industry since 2005. She has been passionate about doing hair since she was a little girl. She specializes in Goldwell color as well as Redken Shades EQ. Color transformations are her favorite! Erika is also Dreamcatcher Extension certified and an updo specialist.

Candice has been in the industry since 2003. Originally from upstate New York, brings her passion for hair and beauty to life by creating a unique experience and incredible results for each of her clients. Candice’s wide-ranging background includes styling for the Rachel Ray show as well as working alongside Tim Gunn and Chris March from Project Runway. Behind the chair, Candice enjoys doing a variety of services including re-texturizing, custom coloring, special occasion styling and cutting. Candice became a certified “Goldwell Specialist” selected from only the best in the industry for Long Island. She continues her passion for hair and beauty and it shows in her work behind the chair.

Stephanie has been in the industry since 2004. She can do it all, from funky colors, to fun styles, to elegant updos and men’s hair design. Stephanie has also been trained in techniques for curly, unruly hair. She loves meeting new clients and her passion for her work makes it feel less like work and more like a hobby.

During that time, she went through extensive training and then received her chair. She has a delightful and cheerful personality alongside the passion for doing hair. Taylor offers all services which include haircutting, hair color, blonding services, styling/ formal styling, and keratins. She is enthusiastic to continue her training and adding new services.
